After my last posting, I am now overjoyed to be able to post the 'completed' Sudoku Solver.
It's not elegant in any way and you probably have to be fairly geeky to work out how to use it as the problem is currently hard coded, but it does work -- maybe in time I will make a more user-friendly version.
Update: It appears that there are some people (no names mentioned… Chris) who are not technical enough to realize that providing a .pl file for download means that you need to have perl installed to run this little script. Mac and Linux users are fine; Windows users should either get a better OS or download perl from ActiveState.
If you want to test your Suduku solver I have written a 16 x 16 one for my new Challenge site (at the web-address given). You'll have to solve a few of the earlier challenges first though :)
(Oh, and I wrote a Suduku solver for Excel to help me...doesn't have the same problem with the puzzle being hard-coded...but it is Excel, nuff said :) )Online sudoku lover
This makes interesting reading, I have my own sudoku website that you may be interested in. How long have you been blogging as your site looks very good. Have you been playing sudoku for long?..
